The Sisterhood Foundation’s purpose is to hear, acknowledge and address the unique health issues impacting Australian women and girls.
Its mission is to build capability in frontline charities and deliver programs that create positive health outcomes in the lives of women and girls. The Foundation is the official charity for all Wesfarmers Health businesses from 2025.
In 2023, the Sisterhood Foundation began a partnership with Sisterworks to help stimulate financial health and wellbeing for migrant, refugee and asylum seeker women in Victoria.
Fuding from the Foundation has enabled SisterWorks to implement a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, allowing them to optimise social enterprise operations and enhance donor management.
Wesfarmers Health set a target to be net zero across Scopes 1 and 2 emissions by 2035. To achieve this, we committed to 100 per cent renewable electricity for new fulfilment and distribution centres as a near-term target.
Following the acquisition, Wesfarmers Health started the process to embed ethical sourcing practices across the SILK Group brands. Priority has been given to embedding modern slavery clauses in key supplier contracts.
In the 2024 financial year, Wesfarmers Health adopted a target for net zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 (market-based) emissions by 2035, in part enabled by its new fulfilment and distribution centres utilising 100 per cent renewable electricity.
Wesfarmers Health conducted extensive research and benchmarking activities against industry peers, leading to the formulation of five standard operating procedures designed to complement its Ethical Sourcing Program.
Wesfarmers Health collaborated with Australian Red Cross, aiming to boost workers’ knowledge of workplace protections through the promotion of the Work Right Hub.
